1940s. Very scarce. Heavily embossed steel construction with black porcelain base and stainless steel and chrome attachments. Complete with original lid and figural Crushy on top. Beautiful embossed decorations on each side and original decal on front and back. A picture of this dispenser is on a common 1940s matchbook cover. This dispenser is unused and complete. Only one other example is known by Randy Garner and it is restored and shown on the Vintage Vending website. In 20 years of collecting Randy has never seen another available in any condition. It's believed to have been a prototype for the more commonly found porcelain-sided dispenser with a fluted stainless steel lid. A very beautiful and rare item.
