Lot consists of (A) Unusual tirrup-hilted sword bayonet. Iron socket acts as grip. Flat, straight blade, rectangular transitioning into double-edged with spear point similar to M1847 Sappers and Miners bayonet. No markings. CONDITION: Very good. (B) British 1855 Sappers and Miners Lancaster sword bayonet. Maker and inspection marks at ricasso. Rack number on guard. CONDITION: Very good. Nice grips and tone to brass. Minor stains to blade. No scabbard. (C) 1832 style short sword hilt on long, narrow, flaring blade. Possibly fraternal or theatrical. No markings. CONDITION: Very good. (D) Winchester socket bayonet. CONDITION: Excellent. Bright metal. No scabbard. SR
CORRECTION: After further inspection, we believe (D) in this lot to be a Winchester 1892 socket bayonet. Overall length is 20 - 7/8" with a 17 - 7/8" blade, which would indicate this.
