Manufactured in 1888. This is a 2nd Model Deluxe with a checkered pistol grip stock. Case color frame with blue barrel and magazine. Crescent butt plate. Full-length tube magazine. Octagonal barrel with a Beech front sight, a sporting rear sight, and a factory graduated peep tang sight. The hammer is case colored and it has a factory set trigger. Colt two-line address on top of the barrel and the Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the receiver. All stampings are crisp and bright. CONDITION: Gun retains 60% of the original factory-applied blue finish with the remainder of the gun turning a pleasing brown patina. The case color has turned to silver. Front and rear stocks show some slight handling and storage marks. A coat of varnish has been applied to the wood. Poor dark bore showing frosting in the lands and grooves. REW
