Qualified Manufacturing registered Heckler & Koch 3-position auto sear K1038 on a Vollmer manufacturing Heckler & Koch Model 21 host gun serial number A022632. This machine gun uses a belt-feed system in which a camming groove in the bottom of the bolt head carrier controls the motion of a metallic non-disintegrating link cartridge belt. This lot includes a spare .308 barrel, extractor bar for .308 and its attachment parts, web sling, MG-3 tripod with optics, and also an original paper Vollmer Manufacturing owner’s manual. Marked on right side of receiver “Vollmer Mfg. Bloomington, IL” above “Made in Germany HK Inc. Arl. Va. 22201” above “K 1038” (which indicates the registered sear serial number). CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent, original black hard coat finish with some loss of finish at the bipod contact points and high edges. Composite furnishings of buttstock and pistol grip near excellent. Bores of both barrels are near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt near excellent. Mechanics are crisp and positive. This is a select-fire machine gun. Tripod is near mint with optics still wrapped in protective wrapping. The HK Model 21 is one of the very best of the modern machine gun designs and highly sought after. The fact that this particular specimen incorporates a registered sear into a host gun places it at the very top of desirability as the sear may be moved to other host Heckler & Koch models at will by the owner.
