Very well accessorized Savage Arms Corporation manufactured U.S. M2 .50 caliber machine gun. Attractive brown composite grips. Primary barrel has carrying handle as well as muzzle attachment. Original G.I. M3 ground tripod with stirrup and Traverse and Elevation as well as a headspace and timing gauge and broken case extractor attached by a chain are included. Heavy waist level mount with original mounting head with steel pipe construction shaft. Additional items include two original cases of 1,000 metallic belt links each, plus 30 10-link cardboard sleeves (300 links total). A spare barrel without muzzle attachment or carrying handle, five standard 100-round ammo cans with linked 4 API and 1 APIT. Also included with this lot is a linking machine, a bag of spare springs, pins and other small parts, a small bag of rivets, a waterproof gun cover, and Field Manual dated 1972. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original dull grey finish with only some light handling marks and some loss of finish at the tripod contact point. Tripod is near excellent, with original green paint. The bores of each of the included barrels are very fine with shiny rifling. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp and positive. This is a full-automatic only machine gun. An absolutely wonderful original Browning .50 BMG with everything a shooter needs to take it to the range.
