Lot consists of: (A) Circa late 1890s-1920s horse fur coat. The coat is beautifully constructed of horse fur with a warm quilt style lining. The front features 4 toggle buttons on each side that give the coat a double breasted look. The armpits are reinforced with leather and are connected to the elegantly lined striped sleeves that end with an elastic cuff. The coat features 2 exterior slant pockets and 1 interior pocket that features a manufacturer tag. The tag is marked "Ellsworth & Thayer Mfg. Co. / Milwaukee". There is some fraying on the liner towards the bottom. The coat exhibits slight fur loss in areas but remains intact and sturdy. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Circa 1918-1919 black civilian raincoat that consigner states was worn by a US Navy officer during World War I. The coat retains its manufacture tag inside the collar. The tag reads "Hogan Rubber Company New York". The coat features 2 exterior slant pockets and is missing all of the exterior buttons. The pockets exhibit separation on the interior of the coat and have been reinforced with glue and rubber. The coat remains supple. CONDITION: Good. JLD
