Inland M1 Carbine semi automatic rifle. Made spring of 1944. Typical markings on the heel and chamber. Barrel is marked "INLAND MFG.DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/3-44". "P" marked in front of the band. Reapplied cross cannons ordnance cartouche on the right side of the stock. Markings on the Type I flip sight are obliterated. Inland marked front band, front sight, trigger group, slide, and bolt. "HI" marked hand guard and "IO" marked on the inside of the sling channel (both Inland contractors). No import mark found. Standard blade front sight and 2 position flip sight. Parkerized finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock and hand guard. Stamped checkered metal butt plate. Includes unmarked green canvas sling, looks to be a reproduction. Blued oiler. Includes a 15 round Inland marked blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its parkerized finish with some wear. Rear sight has some scratches. Wood has handling marks dings and scratches. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. Sling is excellent. JWA
