Lot contains (A) German over-under gun "Bockbuechsflinte" with no maker visible, in 16 guage and 8mm (8x57). Markings on the barrels are "FLUSS STAHL KRUPP ESSEN", "S&S", serial number of "2361", "NITRO" proof, "7,8mm", "57" "U" proof, date of proof "3,28", "(Crown) / S" (Suhl), etc. Serial number of "2361" is also present on the receiver. No import marks. Blued matted barrel has a folding rear sight, a blade front sight, and appears to be set up for detachable scope mounts. Receiver and trigger guard have case hardening with light engraving, and rifle has dual triggers, side safety selector, and breech unlocking lever. Walnut stock and forearm have grip checkering. Forearm is removed via a release lever. Sling swivels are present on barrel and stock. Horn buttplate and grip cap. CONDITION: Rifle is overall very good, and retains 60-65% of its blued finish with brown patina and light freckling, 1/2" of pitting near the rear right of the top barrel, and retains 20-25% of its case hardening. Walnut stock and forearm are dark have light dings and scratches throughout. Right side of forearm has an eight-inch crack with a glue repair. Horn buttplate has light damage. Bores are bright and rifle is mechanically sound. (B) German detachable barrel side by side gun "Buechsflinte" in 16 guage and 9.3x72. Grip cap is engraved with "C Behre" and "Kl Buelten", and stock near grip cap is stamped with the same. Markings on the barrels are the "NITRO" proof, "8,8mm", "72", "16/1" "U" proof, date of proof "5/29", "Crown over E", etc. Serial number of "1321" is present on the receiver. No import marks. Blued matted barrel has a fixed rear sight, and a blade front sight. Receiver and trigger guard have faint case hardening with light engraving. Rifle has dual triggers, top mounted sliding safety, and a large lever to detach the barrel assembly. Walnut stock and forearm have grip checkering. Sling swivels are present on barrel and stock, but the one on the stock is a commercial replacement. Metal engraved grip cap and buttplate. A modern six-inch "Weaver-style" rail has been attached with Weaver scope rings. A "PECAR, BERLIN, GERMANY" marked "Variable 3-7" scope is attached with the standard German 3-post reticle is mounted. CONDITION: Rifle is overall very good, and retains 70-75% of its blued finish, and retains almost none of its case hardening. Walnut stock and forearm are dark have light dings and scratches throughout. Scope optics are clear, and adjustments function. Bores are bright and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
