Rockola M1 Carbine semi automatic rifle. Made late 1942 in the first 100,000 serial block assigned to Rockola. Barrel has no visible markings. Rear 2 position flip sight is marked "RR" on the base for Rockola. Front sight is unmarked. Trigger group is Rockola. Push button safety. Bolt and slide are both Inland marked. Both stock and handguard are "RMC" marked for Rockola. Stock has an ordnance cartouche on the right side, in addition to a faint boxed "RMC" cartouche. All the metal components were polished and blued sometime post-War. Band is missing the front sling swivel. Stock was lightly sanded and repaired as well. Includes a 15 round "SW" marked metal magazine and an unmarked sling/oiler. CONDITON: Metal retains 85% of its reapplied blued finish with some freckles of surface rust on the barrel. Stock has handling marks and scratches. There is a large repair midway through the butt, where it looks like 2 pieces were spliced together. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has some light scratches. Sling is faded but intact. JWA
