Winchester M1 Carbine semi automatic rifle. Made 1942/43 in the first serial block assigned to Winchester (first 5) were tool room models. Barrel is marked "W" for Winchester with no date. Inland marked 2 position flip sight, while the front sight is marked with an "N" on top. Winchester marked bayonet lug/band. Winchester marked trigger group and bolt. Slide is Quality Hardware marked "DA-Q" on the inside of the well. Stock is marked "IO" (Inland contractor) in the sling well and the hand guard marked "Pedersen U" on the inside. Parkerized finish looks to be wartime. Stock has a light oil finish. No magazine is included with this rifle. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Bore is lightly frosted with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine, but the rear sight is loose. JWA
