Standard configuration MP-40 comprised of a Wilson Arms Co. registered receiver tube and original German surplus components. Bottom of receiver tube is stamped "WILSON ARMS CO/ BRUNSWICK, GA" over the serial number. Lower assembly is stamped "MP40/ ayf 42" indicating manufacture by Erma Erfurt in 1942. Lower assembly and stock are matching. Remaining components do not match and are comprised of various manufacturers. Left side of magazine well collar is hand-scribed with an "S". Complete with two additional World War II vintage magazines. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few scattered marks that show through to silvering from handling and storage. Bore is bright, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Bakelite furniture shows bears some scattered handling marks and some minor losses on the grip panels but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A great, range-ready, MP-40 machine gun.
