Springfield M1 Garand semi automatic rifle with bayonet. Made October 1943. Barrel is Springfield production and dated "51". No import mark found. Springfield marked trigger group, butt, and operating rod. Operating rod is marked "NM" on top. Early type Springfield gas plug. Stock has a boxed DOD cartouche on the left side. Metal components were reparkerized post-War. Stock has its original light oil finish. A period green canvas sling and buttstock cleaning kit are included. Also included is an American Fork And Hoe marked M1 bayonet and scabbard. Bayonet has brown plastic grips and typical green scabbard. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its arsenal reapplied parkerized finish. Stock has some dings, scratches, and dents. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 1, throat at a 1. Mechanically fine. Sling has light wear. Cleaning kit looks to be complete. Bayonet blade has been ground and polished. Grips and scabbard have a few handling marks and scratches. JWA
