This is an excellent painted trade sign that dates to the Civil War. George O Hall, with slight water damage to one side. It shows signs of some crackled paint as well as reflective paint on the privilege panel hanging under the clock. Comes with the original bent iron wall bracket that the sign hung from on the store in Hartford CT. This is truly an awesome example of an early Jewelry store trade sign that you never see in this good of an unrestored original condition. Comes with the stores ledger book with the original dated entry of October 25, 1858 to the last dated entry of April 9, 1869, an early photo of the sign on location, and an early Hartford directory showing the family provenance. Absolutely one of the best jeweler/clock makers trade sign we have ever offered.
