Receiver manufactured 1945. Springfield M1D with later variation scope mount that uses a single clamp ring instead of two rings. Three prong flash hider. Leather cheekpiece with ink sptamped "MRT" and leather sling. Normal M1 configuration and furniture with P in circle proof at wrist and faint RAP on left side, indicating rebuild by Raritan Arsenal. Criterion barrel. M82 is a of contemporary production but has an appropriate wire-and-post reticle. Accompanied by an M1 bayonet with ENS marks, indicating production as part of a contract with Greece. CONDITON: Very good as built and refinished with a good homogenous appearance overall. Metal with scattered marks from handling and operation throughout, with some scattered fine pitting under newer finish. Stock is very good, with scattered marks and a few chips, sanded and refinished with softness to cartouches. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with crisp rifling, glass is clear. A good rifle for a CMP match!
