Beautiful Browning Grade III Auto 5 semi-automatic shotgun made by Fabrique National in Belgium for Browning Arms Company, Ogden, Utah in 1927. Blued 26" ventilated rib barrel with twin beads marked with "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right side and "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY OGDEN UTAH" with choke marking "IMPROVED CYLINDER" underneath on the left. Blued beautifully engraved Grade III receiver with dog scene on left-hand side and dog scene on right. Smiling dog on back of action and engraved tang flush scene and lower tang engraved with bird scene. Type II push safety on trigger guard. Engraving is possibly the work of master engraver Felix Funken who started there in 1926. Gun is serial number 60306 with "3" underneath for Grade III. Bolt, barrel, forend, buttstock, and op handle are serial numbered to the gun and match. Figured Circassian walnut checkered round knob pistol stock with "FN" hard rubber buttplate. Figured Circassian checkered walnut forearm. CONDITION: Gun retains an overall 95% plus original condition with light handling marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. A desirable configuration in hard-to-find great condition. DLM
