International Harvester M1 Garand semi automatic rifle. Made 1953. Proper "LMR" marked barrel dated "7-53". No import mark found. "IHC" marked rear sight, bolt, trigger group and operating rod. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Standard blade front sight and adjustable peep rear. Metal components retain their original parkerized finish. Oil finished red birch stock. Checkered metal butt plate with trapdoor. Includes plastic sight cover, throat protector, and combination tool. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood is excellent. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Muzzle reads at a 5, throat at a 3. Front sight protector is cracked, otherwise accessories are fine. JWA
