High condition and desirable Colt AR-15 SP-1 converted to a machine gun. This is a registered receiver machine gun. Triangular handguards, no bolt forward assist, birdcage flash hider. Barrel is marked “C MP CHROME BORE”. Typical Colt markings with “AR-15” on magazine well with “SP” prefix serial number. A single 30-round ”Defense Procurement Manufacturing” magazine is included. Selector markings are “Safe”, “Fire”, and the full-auto position has been neatly engraved “AUTO”. Electronic NFA registry indicates “Form 1 Registration” as the manufacturer and Incoming Form 4 to Morphy’s indicates “Colt” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some brassing in the channel where the latch of the telescoping buttstock holds the stock in position (Not visible at all when stock is in retracted position. Otherwise only the slightest of handling marks overall. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun.
