High quality American made Smith & Wesson Model 76 machine gun with “U” prefix serial number. Once the initial “T” prefix guns were manufactured, the factory produced guns which had a “U” prefix serial number for the civilian and law enforcement market. These guns exhibit the highest standards of fit and finish as to be expected from this maker. This is a select fire machine gun with an ambidextrous safety/selector, hard composite pistol grip with swing-out rubber covered shoulder loop. Firing characteristics are ergonomic and this gun is both controllable and accurate. A 36 round original magazine is included with this gun. Easily disassembled for cleaning, with good durability, and relatively inexpensive, it makes for a great entry level machine gun, and also has appeal to the more advanced machine gun enthusiast. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original matte blue finish with some handling marks. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
