Very fine condition, matching numbered German MP-40 machine gun marked "bnz 43" on end cap with numerous Nazi proof marks throughout. Electronic registry indicates "Germany" as manufacturer. Receiver exhibits "WaA623" (Steyr) proof. Eagle over swastika firing proof on barrel. Bolt is matching with serial number and proof visible through charging handle slot. Barrel resting bar is original bakelite with casting number on bottom. 1 original 32-round magazine is included with this gun. The MP40 is one of the most popular World War II machine guns among collectors today. It is a joy to show to friends and to fire at the range and holds up well under recreational use. It is a great first “classic” machine gun as well as something for the more advanced collector investor when a specimen like this is found with matching numbers. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine original blue finish thinning and turning to a grey patina. Very attractive appearance. Bore is extremely fine, shiny, and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. Bakelite is especially attractive on this specimen. This is a fully automatic only machine gun.
