German three barreled combination gun known as a "Bockdrilling" with a 20 gauge single shotgun barrel with a 8x57JR caliber rifle barrel underneath and to the left. Gun is marked "HEROLD" on bottom of frame which is a tradename for "Franz Jager" Gun is marked underneath with "Nitro" proofs and dated "6-29". 25 -3/4" blued "Krupp Laufstahl" barrels with raised matted rib, blade front sight, tang activated rear notch sight, claw mounts, extractors and Greener style crossbolt. Rib has partial distibutor stamp which reads "EBRAUER, STASSFURT". Game scene engraved scalloped boxlock action with side clips, double triggers(front being a set), side safety and tang barrel selector. Unusual two lug hinge mechanism. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with horn grip cap and triggerguard , nonfactory added Pachmayer "White Line" vented recoil pad and cheekpiece. Walnut plain splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with some dings and handling wear. Action has faded silvery gray finish. Wood has added coat of linseed oil and is cut with added pad.
