Soviet Russian Tula Arsenal SVT-38 semi automatic rifle. Made "1939" with a Tula star, in addition to typical Soviet proofs, on the chamber. Faint Tula "(arrow inside star)/1939" cartouche on the right side of the stock. There are no Finnish boxed "SA" marks on the gun. No visible import marks either. Matching serials on the chamber, stock and bolt. Trigger guard and magazine do not match. Original slotted muzzle device with intact bayonet lug. Standard post front sight and rear adjustable to 1,500 meters. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Wood has a light oil finish. Includes some consignor notes. CONDITON: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Stock has a few minor dings and scratches, with some finish wear (mostly on the butt). Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. Magazine has light wear. Mechanically fine. JWA
