Swedish Carl Gustaf AG-42B semi automatic rifle in. Often called the Ljungman, this rifle was made "1945" at the Carl Gustafs factory in Sweden. "(crown)/C" proof on the left side of the chamber, with "S.S." inspector stamps on the right. Various "B" stamps throughout indicating this rifle was updated to the "B" model in the 1950's. No visible import mark found. Chamber serial and butt plate match. Number on the bolt matches as well, but was electro-penciled. No other parts are numbered. Barrel is correctly ported and retains its original thread protector on the muzzle. Original blued finish in areas, with the bolt carrier and sight adjustment knob having a black enamel finish. Stock has a light lacquered finish. Most likely applied when the gun was re-worked onto a "B" model. Standard flat metal butt plate. Includes original 10 round magazine and some consignor research. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its finishes with general wear and handling marks. Stock has light finish wear and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Fairly clean gas system with no signs of corrosion. Rubber ejection buffer is solid with no cracking or wear. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
