Lot consists of (A) Vickers Mk IV tripod originally manufactured for use with the Maxim machine gun and later utilized as the standard mounting for the Vickers machine. Tripod is marked ".303.MAXIM.MK.IV.AJ.LTD.1915" as well as "NO.2228" on the right side. Major metal components have been exhibit an old green painted finish, with levers being painted black. CONDITION: Major metal components retain large amounts of their green painted finish, exhibiting areas of flaking overall that show through to brass and gray patina. Mechanics function appropriately. (B) 1919/M240 universal cradle mount assembly. Interior is stamped "RONEN", with a hand scribed "US 7MI/ FMT" scratched into the rear of the base. Metal components exhibit a tan painted finish. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their tan painted finish, exhibiting areas of wear overall that show through to gray and brown patinas. Forward cradle pin in not present. A nice set of mounting accessories that will make for a nice addition to one's machine gun collection or display. MLW
