Winchester M1 carbine semi automatic rifle. Made 1943 in the first serial block (not tool room models) assigned to Winchester. Typical markings on the frame and chamber. Undated barrel, marked "W", with no import marks found. Front sight is not marked. Inland marked type III adjustable rear sight. Wide band with no bayonet lug or markings. "W" marked trigger housing, hammer,, stock lug, slide and bolt. Stock is also marked "W" in the sling channel. 2 rivet hand guard is not marked. "W.R.A./G.H.D" marked on the right side of a stock in front of a crossed cannons cartouche. No ordnance marks of firing proofs on the wrist. Parkerized finish on the barrel and receiver is original. Stock has a light oil finish and a checkered metal butt plate. Includes one Inland marked 15 round metal magazine, metal oiler and reproduction tan canvas sling. Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general wear, and some brown patina starting to form. Stock is excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is clean overall with very strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine and sling are excellent. JWA
