U.S. Marked Remington Model 11 semi automatic riot shotgun. Made 1942, this is an early production riot gun, with the engraved game scenes still on both sides of the frame. "U.S" and a "flaming bomb" ordnance proof on both the top of the receiver, and left side of the frame. Standard two line company address/patent date on the top of the barrel. "MODEL 11" marked bolt. Matching serials on the barrel and frame. No markings found on the stock. Round, steel barrel with bead front sight. Factory blued finish. Stock and forearm have their original light oil finish, with checkering on the wrist/forearm. Original brown plastic butt plate. Cylinder choke bore, 2 - 3/4" chamber. Metal retains 80% of its original finish with general wear and some brown patina on the receiver. Wood has handling marks and scratches. There is a light crack on the right side of the wrist. Forearm has a hairline crack as well. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. JWA
