German WWII Luftwaffe M42 single decal helmet marked "xxl64" (likely ckl64) for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 64, with a lot number of "2973". Shell retains 85-90% of its original rough blue-gray paint, with light paint freckles, and areas of freckling where the finish is damaged. Interior retains approximately 90% of its rough blue-gray finish, with the remaining areas freckled and dirty. Luftwaffe decal is in approximately 80% condition with the required era coat of lacquer. Original zinc liner band is present, undisturbed, and with untouched rivets. Liner is complete, untouched, in a medium tan color, with a size stamp of "57", with moderate wear, damage, and fraying to the leather. Original drawstring is present. Chinstrap is present with a mix of steel and aluminum fittings, no visible markings, and moderate wear. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
