German WWII Luftwaffe M40 single decal helmet marked "Q64" for the maker "Quist, Esslingen", in a shell size of 64, with a lot number of "IN152". Helmet exterior retains approximately 90% of its original rough finish blue-gray paint, with white paint speckles, scrapes and dust/dirt on the rim, and flange from sitting on a shelf for a long time. Interior retains 90+% of its untouched smoother blue-gray finish, with light dust, dirt, freckling, etc. The Luftwaffe decal is approximately 90% intact with visible era applied lacquer, which shows up nicely with a backlight. Original zinc liner band is present, undisturbed, and with tight rivets. Liner is complete, untouched, in a medium tan color, with moderate wear, and fraying to the leather. No size stamp but a penciled German name is present. Drawstring is missing. Chinstrap with steel fittings is attached, but the tip is missing and the strap is broken in the center.
