Lot consists of (A) Imperial German Prussian M1895 enlisted Pickelhaube with faint markings. Markings appear to be the unit "76R", date "1898", perhaps a second date of "1913", and additional unit markings. Prussian eagle (Wappen) retains 65-70% of its gilt finish, all other brass fittings are untouched, intact and complete. Leather body is intact, 3 old holes behind the rear brass spine, and with the usual heat damaged visors, dull finish, and moderate wear and aging. Original liner with drawstring is present with moderate wear and dryness. Spike assembly is untouched. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Unissued Heer tropical pith helmet with markings under the leather band and the size of "53". Exterior olive body has moderate aging, a couple of dents, a 1" tear on the front edge trim, and a 2" crack on the left rear. Heer (brass) and National (aluminum) shields are original to the helmet, and the correct chinstrap is attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
