Springfield M1 Garand semi automatic rifle with CMP hard case. Receiver made fall of 1944. Springfield Armory barrel dated "5-44". No import mark found. Springfield marked trigger group, bolt, and operating rod. No stock markings. Standard blade front sight with adjustable peep rear. Factory parkerized finish on the metal components. Wood is later production with a smooth oil finish. Checkered metal butt plate with trap door. Includes green web sling and CMP hard green case. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood is excellent. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Muzzle reads at a 2, with the throat reading at a 1. Sling and case are very good. JWA
