HK semi-automatic civilian version of the G3 battle rifle. 18" barrel with flash hider, protected post front sight, with aperture rear sight with drum adjustments. Clip-on brass deflector mounted to top tube. Wooden forearm with vent holes. Rotating bipod mounted behind forearm. Left side of magazine well marked "HK 41 101289" over "1/74" date code. Right side with "MADE IN GERMANY / excl. for SACO / Arl. Va. 22 209 / Kal. 308". Trigger pack marked for SEF but unable to rotate to full auto position; left side of pack above web of grip marked "286" and stamped out. Both flapper and push button magazine release present and functional. HK wooden stock with distinct sling loop and eyelets for stock pins. Top of bolt carrier marked "HK 9/66" for 1966 production, bolt marked 9/73 for 1973 production. Barrel marked "HK HH" under forearm for 1977 manufacture. CONDITION: Very good, having been reparkerized, probably by H&K given the quality of the finish. There are some minor marks from handling and storage throughout, mostly small marks based around the bipod and rear sight, with one slightly longer strike just ahead of the ejection port. Wooden forearm has the normal 2 divots cut in by the bipod feet. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling. Breech face shows minimal evidence of use. This is a nice example. EMW
