Below bleeders are four brass tubes for medical instruments and a torch to sterilize instruments. Surgical instruments include clamp scissors, a long metal suture, a tortoise-covered knife, suture in glass tube, a mortar, four steel probes and more. Tortoise ware on two handles. Sterling silver hand-chased handle, tapered brass shaft, nickel and steel ferrule. The horn two knife bleeder is in a sterling hinged handle. C. 1860. 35".
