Gold plated Auto Ordnance World War II Commemorative semi automatic rifle with case. Made as a copy of the 1928 Thompson used in World War II. The gun was made by Auto Ordnance and then turned into a commemorative by the American Historical society. This was done in a limited run, this rifle being "187 OF 300", as marked on the underside of the chamber. The left side of the reciever is marked "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORTAION/WORCHESTER, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S.A.". There are laser engraved scenes of troops on both sides of the receiver, in addition to an American flag etched on both side of the chamber. Top of the receiver has laser engraved scroll scenes. round, steel barrel with cooling fins. Blade front sight with rear ladder sight adjustable to 600 yards. Gloss blued finish on the barrel with a gold plated receiver and compensator. Gloss finished wood buttstock and forearm, with a gloss blued butt plate. Includes original hard case and 30 round gold painted magazine. Of note, the case is not serialized. CONDITON: Metal retains 95% plus of its original finishes with a few handling marks and scratches. Wood stocks are excellent, with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Magazine has a some handling marks, and some finish wear to the back where the it is latched in gun. Case is missing half of its interior foam on the bottom. Case is otherwise very good. JWA
