1925, USA: Nelson & Wiggins was a late comer to the mechanical music business, with operations confined mostly to the years 1920 to 1930. This example is the Style 6, Orchestra. With Piano, mandolin attachment, xylophone, bass drum, snare drum, cymbal, triangle, tympani effect castanets, and wood block. Walnut cabinet, clear glass panels above, which are covered with curtains in other models we have seen. Built to compete with the Seeburg KT special, this little orchestration packs a lot of band in a small container. CONSIDERATIONS: The instrument had a restoration at one point and the cabinet has held up well. The instrumentation is in working order and plays, as does the coin operation. The piano need tuning. Includes one music roll.
