MP-44 / STG-44 machine gun parts kit manufactured during World War II. Exterior components are phosphate finished, with the barrel and bolt assembly being blued. Components include a saw cut receiver assembly, laminated buttstock, buttstock retention pin, complete handgrip assembly, perforated sheet metal forend, barrel, front sight hood, gas block, bolt (with firing pin), op rod, mainspring, as well as a period leather sling. CONDITION: Very good, with exterior components exhibiting retaining the majority of their phosphate finish, exhibiting moderate amounts of scattered handling marks and minor wear overall. Barrel and op-rod assembly exhibit some overall wear but are otherwise very good. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Bolt face is excellent. Stock is very good, showing scattered marks from handling and storage but is otherwise study and serviceable. A very nice MP-44 / STG-44 parts kit that makes for an attractive assortment of spare parts and components for one's own MP-44. MLW
