Lot contains: (A) German World War II Heer M42 no decal helmet marked "NS64" for the maker "Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke / Schwerte", in a shell size of 64, and a lot number of "D421". Shell exterior retains 60-65% of its era applied rough gray-green paint, with freckling, white paint streaks, and dust and dirt. No decal is present. Interior retains approximately 80% of its untouched smooth gray-green finish, with dust and freckling. Original zinc liner band is present and appears untouched. Rivets are loose but have not been disturbed. Liner is intact, is medium brown, has heavy staining, very dry throughout, and light flaking around its rim. Drawstring is present. A chinstrap with steel fittings marked "gxy" exhibiting the same wear and condition as the liner is attached. A nice untouched combat helmet. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Third Reich medium weight steel M34 Fire/Police helmet marked "Edel Stahl". Shell exterior retains approximately 90% of is dull black paint with light scratches and freckling. Police decal is 85-90% with light crazing and era-applied coat of lacquer. NSDAP decal is 70-75% with heavy crazing and era-applied lacquer. Interior retains 90+% of its dull black paint with scratches, rim wear, and freckling. Gray leather liner has moderate staining with its original drawstring. Leather liner pads, chinstrap, neck protector attachment tabs, and crown pad are all present with light wear. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
