German World War II Luftwaffe M40 single decal helmet marked "Q62" for the maker "F.W. Quist", in a shell size of 62, with a lot number of "T1003". Shell exterior retains 65-70% of its era applied rough blue-gray paint, with freckling, dirt, scrapes, and some white paint. The Luftwaffe decal is approximately 75% with half of the left wing missing, and visible lacquer over the remainder. Interior retains approximately 85% of its untouched smooth blue-gray finish, with dust and freckling. Original zinc liner band is present and appears untouched. Liner is complete, in a medium brown color, with heavy staining, dryness and flaking around its rim. Original drawstring is present, with no visible size stamping. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
