Imperial German World War I M1915 Prussian felt Pickelhaube (Filzhelme) dated "1916" with two other illegible markings in black ink. Green felt body has light stains and is slightly misshapen (could be reformed). Brass front plate (retained by 2 leather pieces) and spike assembly (attached with 4 untouched rivets) retain less than 30% of their gilt finish and are original to the helmet. Chinstrap with brass fittings exhibit only light wear, and the M1891 attachment lugs are intact. Prussian and national color cockades are original and only present light wear. Black leather liner has damage on all 9 tongues, and drawstring is present. Liner has a 2 inch section which has separated from the right side body. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
