Winchester Model 40 deluxe semi-automatic shotgun made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1939. First year production deluxe gun with extra barrel. Barrel No. 1 is a 20" blued barrel with factory-installed Cutts Compensator and is 12 gauge with bead front sight. Barrel No. 2 is a blued 30" Full choke 12 gauge barrel with blade front sight. Gun has blued action with push-button safety. Walnut checkered deluxe pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Matching walnut checkered forearm. A scarce gun that was only made 3 years. CONDITION: 80% fading blue with carry wear with metal fading to a silvery patina. Traces of original varnish with light dings and scratches. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
