Highly desirable Model M62/S manufactured by Valmet in Finland as a semi-automatic version of the Finnish military's RK 62 rifle. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number as well as "VALMET / Made in Finland", with the right side bearing stampings stipulating the model and caliber designations above an Interarms import stamp. Metal components are finely milled and are fitted with a polymer "cheese grater" forend and checkered polymer pistol grip. Features include a phosphate finish, 16 - 1/4" barrel, 3-prong flash hider, RK 62 pattern front & rear sights, as well as a distinct fixed tubular buttstock. Magazine is not present. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory-applied finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks overall from handling and storage as well as a dragline from operation of the safety selector lever. Mint bore, exhibiting sharp and well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Polymer furniture is excellent overall. A very attractive and high condition example of a sought after Valmet Model M62/S semi-automatic rifle. MLW
