This cane is engraved from the Presbyterian church in New Richmond Ohio, Oct. 20, 1893. The handle was custom made by Simmons Hardware Company and signed by them. The shaft is tapered metal made to look like grained wood. Inside the cane are different instruments used to deliver a baby, with a baby scale below the handle. Tools inside include 1 blood letting tool with wooden handle, 1 complete and working syringe circa 1800, 1 tin container, 1 glass stopper bottle, 1 container holding wax seal stamp and matches.
