Springfield Armory SAR 48 Match rifle chambered in 7.62x51. These rifles were a collaboration between Springfield Armory and Imbel of Brazil during the 1980's and imported into the US. This FAL pattern rifle is built on a milled Match receiver featuring a 20" barrel, standard muzzle device, 3 prong front sight, adjustable rear peep sight, and carry handle. Black polymer furniture with triangular handguard, hard rubber recoil pad, and sling swivels. Left side of receiver has model, caliber, and serial number above the 2 position safety. Right side of receiver has "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY,GENESEO,IL.USA; 1005-SA-48-MATCH" with Springfield's crossed cannon emblem. Underside of receiver reads "IMBEL;ITAJUBA;BRAZIL". Does not include a magazine. CONDITION: Excellent overall condition with 95% finish remaining. Caps on pistol grip cleaning kit show breaks. Bright bore and good rifling. Good mechanics. GFP.
