Model 510-7 T semi-automatic rifle manufactured by SIG. Based off of SIG's SG 510 machine gun, these rifles were manufactured for commercial sales, being imported into the United States in extremely small numbers during the late 1960s into the 1970s, making them extremely scarce and sought after today. This example is stamped "SG 510-7 T" over the serial number "5672" on the top of the receiver, with the encircled "SIG" logo stamped on the top of the stock assembly. Selector switch is marked "S", "T", and "A". Features include a black enamel finish, 20" barrel, muzzle brake/flash suppressor, ventilated barrel shroud, bipod, rubber carrying handle, "T" shape charging handle, post front sight, peep rear sight with graduations from 100 - 600 meters, polymer pistol grip, as well as a solid walnut forend and buttstock. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt assembly, trigger housing, stock socket, as well as on the barrel shroud. Barrel does not match and is numbered "6250". Complete with SIG-AMT manual. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Very fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory applied finish, exhibiting only a few minor superficial handling marks overall, as well as the usual area of silvering on the trigger housing from operation of the selector switch. Left side of stock socket Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Solid walnut furniture exhibits some minor marks and light dings from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine. A very fine example of an extremely scarce early production SIG SG 510 T semi-automatic rifle that is seldom encountered outside of a firearms collection. MLW
