Sought after registered receiver Israeli Military Industries S.M.G. UZI machine gun. Marked with “IMI” logo and model markings on left side of receiver. Importer marked, “L.E.S. / Skokie, ILL.” On right side of receiver. This machine gun has the early Model A sights with a “DOCTER” Aimpoint type sight mounted at the top of the receiver. The Uzi is an extremely effective machine gun in the hands of a practiced shooter and quite accurate even at long range. This makes it very popular at the range, and in competitive tactical matches. No magazine present. Electronic NFA registry indicates “ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original grey-blue finish with attractive brown bakelite handgrip, and vertical grip forend. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun.
