Z-70 submachine gun manufactured by Star Arms and imported by Interarms in Alexandria, Virginia. The left side of the magazine well bears the serial number above "STAR" as well as a 5-pointed star and "EIBAR ESPANA/ MODELO Z 70", with the right side bearing Interarms importer information. Features include a black "wrinkle" finish, 7 - 3/4" barrel, perforated barrel shroud, blade front sight, flip-up peep rear sight with graduations from 100-200 meters, grooved black plastic grips, dual-function trigger (reminiscent of the German World War II MG-34), as well as an under-folding buttstock. This example is accompanied by a 2-cell magazine pouch containing 1 additional magazine. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Metal components retain virtually all of their original factory-applied black "wrinkle" finish, exhibiting few minor superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, retaining well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Plastic grip is excellent. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
