Mark IV L2A3 submachine gun manufactured by Sterling and imported by Parker Arms out of Dallas, Texas. Left side of receiver tube bears Parker Arms importer information, with the top of the magazine well being stamped with "STERLING" within a rectangle over "SMG/ 9 m/m MK4 (L2A3)" over the serial number. Selector switch is marked "SAFE", "I", and "34". Features include a black "wrinkle" finish, 7 - 3/4" barrel, perforated barrel shroud, bayonet lug, post front sight, flip-up rear sight with graduations from 100-200 meters, checkered black pistol grip, as well as an underfolding buttstock. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their black wrinkle finish, exhibiting few minor spots of wear on some high edges. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined lands and grooves throughout. 1-piece black plastic grip shows some minor superficial handling marks but is otherwise fine.
