Less than 10,000 of these novel .410 lever action shotguns were built on Model 1893 style receivers by Marlin from 1929 to 1932 and were mostly given away as gifts for buying stock. This example is has a blued 26" barrel with bead sight and 5-shot magazine tube. Blued receiver with serrated top strap and "MARLIN / 410" tang marking. Case handed lever and checkered hammer. Fitted with a walnut pistol grip stock with inset bullseye trademark and checkered "Marlin" composite butt plate. Correct walnut finger groove forend. CONDITION: Good. Vast majority of the original blued finish is retained. Some pitting present at the muzzle with additional cleaned spots of oxidation especially on the left side of the receiver, with bluing thinned there. Faint case colors visible on lever with an overall silvery patina. Stocks good showing some spots of finish loss and wear throughout. Fine bore and mechanics. BAS
