Absolutely fabulous Colt Model 1918 B.A.R. with crossed cannon and flaming bomb ordnance proofs on receiver and barrel respectively. Colt marked barrel has the correct distinctive profile and also is dated “12-18” below flaming bomb proof. Marked, “9282” on right underside of the receiver on small flat near trigger guard assembly. Correct World War I configuration flash hider present as well as 1 lustrous blued finished magazine. 1st style gas regulator, and "F A S" selector markings on this gun, which also has a fantastic condition checkered forend and wood buttstock. Electronic NFA registry indicates “COLT” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent professional refinish with some slight handling marks discernable under this finish at the detent latches on the receiver, with some light pitting spots discernible on the right side of the receiver. Wood looks just fabulous even under the closest inspection. Bore is fine to very fine with some darkness and slight pitting in the grooves. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. This is an absolutely outstanding condition B.A.R. and a fabulous opportunity for the collector who appreciates the World War I era as well as for the advanced Colt and B.A.R. collector.
