This rare complete crate of 4 100-round British Bren machine gun Mark I magazines is complete with the wooden loading with holding plate for loading these magazines, winding handle, and bracket. This crate would have been issued during World War II for anti-aircraft use. Continuous fire being the goal, without needing to change out magazines. CONDITION: Magazines are near excellent in grease with associated tools also near excellent in original chest. Original inventory sheet intact on underside of lid albeit turning yellow and brittle with age. These sets very seldom surface for sale, and to find one complete like this is a fantastic opportunity for the advanced World War II British machine gun collector. Once loaded, these would make enable a wonderful long volley at the machine gun range, such as at the Big Sandy Range where they employ radio-controlled aerial targets. JWK – 2022-3-47
