Bren Mk I machine gun manufactured at the Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield in 1943. The left side of the receiver is stamped "MK I." over an intertwined Enfield "ED" logo, as well as the year of manufacture "1943", with the selector being marked "A", "S", and "R". Top of receiver bears the serial number "FCS/ AA3090" at the rear. Receiver bears British military proofs as well as a British nitro proof, with additional British proofs present on most exterior components. Features include a black enamel finished receiver, phosphate finished lower assembly, quick detach barrel, wood pistol grip and buttstock, contemporary mounting for the commando grip, as well as a Canadian bipod. This example is accompanied by 2 spare barrels, 1 green canvas barrel carrier, 11 spare magazines housed within a metal transit chest, disassembly multitool, contemporary commando grip, 2 spare gas regulators, 2 spare firing pins, 1 with its spring, as well as a copy of the ".303-in. BREN LIGHT MACHINE GUN" book by Ian Skennerton. CONDITION: Very good overall, with the receiver retaining the majority of its black enamel finish, exhibiting scattered spots and small areas of flaking overall that shows through to grey patina and some light silvering. Phosphate finished components are excellent. Bore is good, exhibiting mild oxidation and well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, with a couple minor losses along the edges on the buttstock grip. First spare barrel is dark, exhibiting oxidation and poor to fair rifling throughout. Second barrel is filled with cosmoline and cannot be verified. A nice and attractive example of a Bren Mk I light machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE.
