1901 vintage Winchester Model 1901 lever action shotgun, serial number 64857. According to the Winchester Dates of Manufacture book by George Madis, production of the model 1901 started at 64856, making this one the second serial number applied. 32" round barrel chambered in 10 Gauge with full choke. 2 piece plain walnut forearm and pistol gripped stock with shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very good, with barrel turned a brown-gray patina with frame retaining nearly all of its original blue finish with high edge wear. Stock and forearm are good as cleaned and finish added with minor chip at toe of stock near buttplate. Mechanically fine. Bore is frosted. TON
